Pearls and sterling silver never go out of style. This simple project uses a fancy bead frame link as the focal part of this design.
Bead frames come in a variety of wonderful shapes and style and lend themselves well to be used in this way. Start by adding one of the potato pearls to the head pin. Keep in mind that natural pearls tend to have a tiny drill hole. We have used a 24ga head pin. You may need to adjust yours accordingly depending on the hole size of your beads. Wire wrap the top as you see fit. This is your bottom drop.
Next, take another head pin and one of the rice pearls and string it through one of the holes of the bead frame; but go from the center out so the pearl is in the center opening of the bead frame. Make the loop, add the potato pearl drop and wrap to finish. This will now become the bottom of the earring.
Next, take another head pin and add on one of the rice pearls. Put the end of the head pin through the other hole of the bead frame...just like you did in the last step. Once the head pin is through the hole, add another of the rice pearls on the outside of the frame. Make a loop, add on the earring post unit and wire wrap to finish. NOTE: The earring post we used does NOT have a ring that opens at the bottom which is why you need to add it to your loop before you finish the wire wrapping.
Repeat the process for the other earring. You are now finished and have a beauiful earring that uses a bead frame in a little different way.
